Job description
Your responsibilities:
- Invoice Management: Process and manage both incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies. This includes vouchering against purchase orders, coding, and booking non-PO invoices.
- Account Reconciliation: Monitor and reconcile supplier accounts and AR aging balances regularly to maintain up-to-date records and ensure all payments are accounted for and processed timely.
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of VAT filings and provide essential documents and information to external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Process Optimization: Work closely with the Finance and IT department to help set up suppliers on EDI, evaluate, and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams in Belgium, Ireland, and the USA, including the local business teams, Accounting, PTP team, and Treasury, to resolve issues and improve the overall financial process.
Criteria
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree with a strong interest in accounting.
- At least 2 years of experience in AP/AR operations.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical and critical thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to help others.
- Initiative-taker and relationship builder across different business functions and departments.
- Punctual and proactive in record-keeping.
- Experience with global ERP systems such as SAP and proficiency in Excel.
