"I’ve always been passionate about human interactions and building meaningful connections. I love new challenges and helping people grow—it’s what drives me."

For Amandine Urbain, a career in HR was a natural fit. When she joined Evertys, she quickly found herself in a role that aligned perfectly with her skills and aspirations. "I had a call with the Evertys team, and before I knew it, I was speaking with the client. Everything moved fast, but it felt right. It was exactly what I was looking for."

Finding purpose in HR Consulting

Amandine’s career path wasn’t always set in stone. Early on, she worked in administrative roles but felt something was missing. "I enjoyed the work, but I wanted more human interaction. I needed a role where I could connect with people on a deeper level."

That desire led her to recruitment, where she thrived on direct interactions and helping people find the right opportunities. She wanted to combine her passion for hard – and soft HR.

Now, as an HR consultant, she gets to do exactly that. "I handle onboarding for new colleagues, explaining how things work with the client. I help build connections, support employees, and ensure they have what they need to succeed. I also act as the go-to person for broader HR-related questions, which makes every day dynamic and rewarding."

Debunking misconceptions about HR consultancy

Many people misunderstand what it means to be a consultant. Amandine shared her thoughts on some common misconceptions:

  • "Consulting is not a viable long-term career."

"That’s simply not true. Consulting is an incredible opportunity to grow, explore different roles, and develop valuable skills. Many consultants build long, successful careers, and some move into leadership roles. It’s a career that keeps you learning, challenges you with new problems, and opens so many doors."

  • "Consultants are just outsiders who don’t understand the business."

"I may not be an internal team member at the client, but I’ve never felt like an outsider. My manager and team make sure I’m included and informed about best practices, so I can drive real results. Consulting is about integration. You bring fresh perspectives while becoming a key part of the team."

  • "HR consultants only handle recruitment."

"HR is so much more than just hiring. It involves legislation, labour law, compliance, employee development, and much more. The possibilities are vast, and that’s what makes it such an exciting field."

Joining a supportive environment at Evertys

For Amandine, joining Evertys was a seamless and positive experience. "Everything has always gone smoothly. Sometimes, we meet at the office with other consultants, which is great since we usually work at the client’s site. It allows me to connect with others who share similar experiences, exchange insights, and continuously learn."

Being part of Evertys has reinforced her passion for HR and consulting. "At Evertys, I feel supported and valued. Not just as a consultant, but as a key part of the team. It’s an environment where I can keep learning, growing, and making an impact."
