When a property claim arrives on her desk, Laurie Delrez knows it’s time to get to work. With four years of experience in managing property damage claims, she handles each case from start to finish with expertise and attention to detail.

On paper, Laurie's job might seem very procedural. But in reality, every claim is a unique story. An investigation to conduct, a human situation to understand, a balance to find between technical rigor and empathy.

Managing a claim means taking control from start to finish

As a property claims handler at Evertys, Laurie’s mission is to take full charge of property damage claims from A to Z.
This often starts with gathering documentation, managing quotes and handling payments. She must appoint experts, analyze responsibilities, communicate with brokers, and sometimes even initiate legal recourse or interpret court rulings.

Every case is different. Sometimes straightforward, sometimes more complex. And in those moments, you have to think hard, and step out of your comfort zone.”

She navigates multiple stakeholders: brokers, experts, opposing insurers, and sometimes even the third parties involved. This balancing act requires both technical know-how and strong interpersonal skills. And often, fluency in several languages.

The real difference? The person behind the screen

This role requires a solid understanding of contract terms and legal language, along with good listening skills. Laurie is the common thread between the incident and its resolution. She reassures, explains, documents, validates, before closing the file.

Tools help structure the work: Laurie regularly uses Claim Center, a comprehensive platform that allows her to track every step of the claim with precision. But what truly makes the difference isn’t the software. It’s the person behind the screen.

Evertys, the environment that enables excellence

At Evertys, the goal is twofold: to give consultants the means to excel, while helping clients achieve their business objectives. In other words, operational, competent, autonomous profiles… but always supported.

I’m still quite new, but I immediately knew what was expected from me without ever being left alone.”

For clients: experts, not just CVs

For companies, bringing in a claims handler like Laurie means gaining immediate expertise. It means having a sharp eye, smooth claims handling, and a proactive attitude from day one.

A claim is always urgent. At Evertys, it’s also a chance to do things right.
And that’s exactly what Laurie does, every day, with dedication and passion.
